Terms of use
This page is available in English only. The English version prevails.
1. Who you are contracting with
"Tickyo", "we" and "us" mean the operator of this site. "You" means anyone browsing or buying. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use it.
These terms work alongside the privacy policy and the refund and support policy. Where the refund policy is more specific about cancellations, it wins.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 14 to hold an account, and 18 to buy. Buyers aged 14–18 need a guardian's consent.
- One person, one account. Keep your password to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- Give us accurate details. Entry can be refused if the name on a ticket does not match the ID you present.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account.
3. Our role: we sell on behalf of promoters
This matters more than anything else on this page. Tickyo is a ticketing agent. The performance itself is supplied by the promoter or venue, and your contract to attend is with them, not with us.
| What | Who is responsible |
|---|---|
| Selling the ticket, payment, your order record | Tickyo |
| The performance: line-up, running time, venue conditions | The promoter or venue |
| Cancelling, postponing or changing a show | The promoter — we pass on the outcome |
| Admission decisions on the day | The venue |
Each promoter may add its own conditions to a particular show. Where they exist they are shown on the event page before you pay, and they apply on top of these terms.
4. Buying a ticket
- A listing is an invitation to buy, not an offer. The contract forms when we send your order confirmation — not when you click Pay.
- We may decline or cancel an order that looks automated, exceeds a per-person limit, or was created through an obvious pricing error. If we do, you get a full refund.
- Ticket limits per show exist so that ordinary buyers get a fair chance. Orders that break them may be cancelled without notice.
- Availability is live. Having a ticket in your basket does not reserve it until payment completes.
5. Prices, fees and currency
- Ticket prices are set by the promoter. We add a 4% service fee, shown separately before you pay.
- Posted delivery carries a postage fee, also shown before you pay. E-tickets and box-office collection are free.
- Prices display in the currency the promoter sells in — Singapore dollars, Hong Kong dollars, patacas, renminbi or Korean won. Your bank sets the conversion rate and may add its own cross-border fee.
- If a price is displayed that is obviously wrong, we may cancel and refund rather than honour it.
6. Getting in
- One ticket admits one person, once. A QR code that has already been scanned will not work again.
- Named tickets require matching photo ID. Change the name in your order before the cut-off if someone else is going.
- Arrive on time. Latecomers are admitted at the venue's discretion, often only during a break.
- The venue may refuse entry or remove anyone breaking its rules. No refund is due in that case.
7. Fair use and resale
- No bots. Scripted or automated buying, and using multiple accounts to get around ticket limits, will have the orders cancelled.
- No resale above face value. Tickets are for personal use. Reselling at a markup voids the ticket without refund.
- No scraping for commercial use. Browsing is fine; bulk harvesting of listings, prices or images to run a competing service is not.
- Do not interfere with the site: no probing, no overwhelming it with traffic, no attempts to reach other people's accounts.
8. If a show changes
Cancellations, postponements and material changes are covered in full by the refund policy. In summary: cancelled means an automatic full refund including the service fee; postponed means your ticket stays valid, with a 7-day window to refund in full if the new date does not work for you.
9. Liability
We are responsible for running the ticketing service with reasonable care. We are not responsible for the performance itself, nor for a promoter's decisions about it.
Where the law allows us to limit liability, our total liability for any order is capped at the amount you paid for that order. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
We do not promise the site is always available. Maintenance, on-sale surges and upstream outages can interrupt it.
10. Content and intellectual property
Event titles, artwork, posters and seating plans belong to the promoters, venues and artists. They appear here so you can decide what to book, and may not be reused elsewhere. The Tickyo name, logo and the design of this site belong to us.
11. Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly the fair-use rules. Where we reasonably can, we tell you why and give you a chance to respond. Valid tickets already bought stay valid unless they were themselves the problem.
You can close your account at any time from My tickets › Profile. Orders already placed are unaffected.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep any rights your local law gives you that cannot be contracted out of.
Please raise a problem with us first — most things are resolved faster that way. See Contact us.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are posted here and emailed to account holders 7 days before they take effect. The version that applies to an order is the one in force when you placed it.
